Why use browser-based image tools

Traditional image editing software can be expensive, complex, and time-consuming to install. EverydayHub's Image Tools run entirely in your browser — no downloads, no accounts, no file uploads to external servers. Every pixel is processed locally using the Canvas API and Web Workers, ensuring your images never leave your device. This approach delivers professional-grade results while preserving your privacy.

The suite is organised into six categories, each addressing a specific stage of the image workflow. Whether you need to resize a batch of photos for e-commerce, convert format for web publishing, extract text from a scanned document, or create a device mockup for a presentation, there is a dedicated tool designed for the task.

Resize & Compress

Batch Resizer — resize multiple images at once

The Batch Resizer handles one or more images simultaneously. You can resize by exact pixels, percentage, longest side, or shortest side. An aspect ratio lock prevents distortion, while stretch mode gives you full control over dimensions. The tool supports multiple interpolation methods including Lanczos and bicubic for high-quality downscaling. Once processed, you can export individual images or download the entire batch as a ZIP archive in PNG, JPG, WebP, or AVIF format.

Use cases: Preparing product photos for an e-commerce catalogue, resizing screenshots for documentation, scaling images for email templates.

Batch Compressor — reduce file size by quality or target

The Batch Compressor offers two compression modes: quality-based (adjust a slider from 0% to 100%) and target file size (specify an exact byte or kilobyte limit). A before/after comparison slider lets you inspect compression artifacts at full resolution. Web Workers process multiple images in parallel, making batch compression fast even for large files. The tool displays compression ratio and space saved for each image.

Use cases: Shrinking images for website performance, meeting attachment size limits, optimising photo archives.

Social Resizer — preset sizes for every platform

The Social Media Image Resizer provides ready-to-use presets for every major social platform: Instagram posts and stories, Facebook posts and covers, LinkedIn posts and banners, YouTube thumbnails and banners, Twitter/X headers, Pinterest pins, WhatsApp and TikTok statuses, and Snapchat stories. A custom size option is available for non-standard dimensions. The tool includes a safe zone overlay that indicates where text and logos remain visible without cropping, helping you design within platform constraints. You can extend the background with a solid color or a blurred image fill, and process multiple files in batch.

Use cases: Creating consistent social media graphics, resizing a single design for multiple platforms, preparing content for a social media calendar.

Convert & Transform

Format Converter — switch between image formats

The Format Converter supports PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, and ICO output. You can convert a single image or process a batch with custom filenames. SVG to PNG and PNG to ICO conversions are supported. Quality settings are adjustable for lossy formats. The conversion happens entirely on your device using the Canvas API — nothing is uploaded.

Use cases: Converting WebP images for legacy browser compatibility, exporting design assets in multiple formats, generating favicon ICO files from PNG sources.

SVG Toolkit — view, minify, optimise, and convert SVGs

The SVG Toolkit works exclusively with SVG vector files. You can upload an SVG file or paste raw SVG markup directly into the editor. Features include minification (removes comments and whitespace), optimisation (removes empty groups and unused IDs), pretty-printing, and colour replacement (find and replace any hex colour value in the SVG). The toolkit also converts SVG to PNG for raster use. A live preview renders the SVG as you edit.

Use cases: Cleaning up exported SVG files from design tools, reducing SVG file size for web delivery, replacing brand colours in icon sets, preparing SVGs for print conversion.

Batch Center — multi-operation batch processing

The Batch Processing Centre combines multiple operations into a single workflow. You can resize, compress, convert format, rename, rotate, flip, add a text watermark, strip EXIF metadata, and apply effects — all in one pass. Operations are enabled as toggles, and each reveals its own configuration panel when selected. The watermark panel includes text input, position presets, font size, and opacity controls. The effects panel offers grayscale, sepia, invert, contrast, and brightness adjustments. A progress bar tracks processing with cancel and resume support.

Use cases: Preparing a large batch of photos for a website (resize + compress + watermark), cleaning up scanned images (rotate + flip + strip metadata), creating consistent thumbnails for a gallery.

Edit & Enhance

Image Watermark — add text and logo overlays

The Image Watermark tool supports both text and image overlays. Text watermarks offer custom fonts, shadow, stroke, opacity, rotation, and scale controls. Positioning options include all four corners and center, with tiling mode for full-coverage watermarks. Image/logo watermarks can be uploaded and positioned similarly. Batch processing is supported with ZIP download.

Use cases: Protecting photography portfolios from unauthorised use, branding corporate images for social media, adding copyright notices to document scans.

Effects Studio — apply filters and effects

Effects Studio provides 20+ image effects including brightness, contrast, saturation, hue rotation, blur, sharpen, pixelate, mosaic, grayscale, sepia, negative, vintage, oil paint, sketch, threshold, and posterize. Each effect has adjustable intensity. Preset combinations are available for one-click application, and a live preview shows changes in real time.

Use cases: Creating vintage-style social media posts, adding artistic filters to profile photos, prototyping visual effects for design projects.

Rounded Corners — add border radius to images

This tool rounds image corners with individual control over each corner's radius. You can also apply a circle crop, add a border with custom width and colour, and include a drop shadow. Background colour and padding options let you create polished rounded thumbnails. The output supports transparent PNG export.

Use cases: Creating profile avatars for user interfaces, preparing rounded product badges for e-commerce, designing button and card graphics for dashboards.

Analyze & Extract

Color Analyzer — histograms, palettes, and colour values

The Color Analyzer extracts eight dominant colours and calculates the average colour from any image. RGB and brightness histograms are rendered as interactive bar charts. Each dominant colour displays its HEX, RGB, HSL, and HSV values. Click any colour swatch to copy its HEX value to the clipboard with visual confirmation. The colour palette can be downloaded in PNG (swatches with hex labels), SVG (vector palette), CSS (custom properties), or plain text format.

Use cases: Building colour palettes from inspiration photos, extracting brand colours from existing assets, analysing image exposure through histograms.

EXIF Viewer — read photo metadata

EXIF Viewer reads embedded metadata from images, including camera make and model, lens information, ISO, exposure time, aperture (F-number), shutter speed, focal length, flash setting, GPS coordinates with map display, capture date and time, image orientation, dimensions, DPI, and file size. Metadata can be copied as JSON or plain text for documentation.

Use cases: Verifying photo authenticity for journalism, auditing camera settings after a shoot, extracting GPS coordinates for geotagging.

EXIF Remover — strip metadata for privacy

EXIF Remover strips sensitive metadata from images before sharing. Options include removing all metadata, removing GPS coordinates only while preserving other data, or keeping orientation information for correct display. Batch removal is supported with ZIP download. A before/after metadata comparison lets you verify what was removed.

Use cases: Removing GPS location from children's photos before sharing on social media, stripping camera metadata from corporate documents, cleaning image files for public distribution.

Before/After Comparison — compare images side by side

The Comparison tool lets you compare two images using an interactive slider in horizontal or vertical mode. A split opacity overlay view and synchronised zoom and pan help examine fine details at pixel level. Fullscreen mode provides distraction-free comparison. The comparison can be exported as a single composite image.

Use cases: Demonstrating photo retouching results, comparing compressed vs original image quality, showcasing before/after editing workflows.

Create & Generate

Collage Maker — create photo grids

The Collage Maker supports grid layouts for 2, 3, 4, 6, or 9 images with a custom grid option. You can adjust gap size between cells, round cell corners, choose a background colour, and set the canvas dimensions. Images can be dragged to reorder within the grid. The final collage is exported as a high-resolution PNG.

Use cases: Creating Instagram collage posts, assembling before/after comparison grids, building portfolio preview sheets.

Contact Sheet Generator — image grid with labels

The Contact Sheet creates printable grids of multiple images with customisable rows, columns, cell spacing, and filename labels. Page dimensions can be configured for print (defaults to A4 at 300 DPI). The background colour is adjustable. A live preview renders the grid as you adjust settings. Export options include PNG and JPEG.

Use cases: Proofing photo shoots for client review, creating stock photo catalogues, building asset inventory sheets for digital archives.

Meme Generator — create memes with top and bottom text

The Meme Generator supports top and bottom text layers with outline/stroke effects, custom fonts, and emoji support. Text layers are draggable and resizable directly on the canvas. Built-in meme templates are available, or you can use your own image. Export is available at high resolution in multiple sizes.

Use cases: Creating social media memes, adding captions to screenshots for tutorials, generating branded humour content for marketing.

Device Mockup — frame images in devices

The Device Mockup renders your image inside realistic device frames including iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone SE, Android phone, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, desktop monitor, browser window, and generic tablet. Frame colour, background colour, and drop shadow are customisable. The preview updates in real time as you switch devices or adjust settings. Export is available as high-resolution PNG.

Use cases: Creating app store screenshots, presenting UI designs in client decks, showcasing responsive layouts in portfolio pieces.

Screenshot Beautifier — frame screenshots with style

The Screenshot Beautifier adds presentation-quality frames to screenshots. Options include rounded corners, drop shadows with adjustable blur, padding, gradient background with two custom colours, and frame styles (none, browser window with traffic light buttons, macOS window, or Windows window). Aspect ratio presets (16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 9:16, 3:4) help you frame for the target platform.

Use cases: Preparing screenshots for blog posts and documentation, creating product demos for landing pages, framing UI previews for social media promotion.

Scan & Read

QR Code & Barcode Scanner

This scanner uses the jsQR library to decode QR codes from uploaded images, camera input, or clipboard paste. Scan results display the decoded text, format, and timestamp. URLs can be opened directly in a new tab, and any result can be copied to clipboard. The scan history can be downloaded as a CSV file for record-keeping. The camera mode offers continuous scanning with an overlay guide.

Use cases: Decoding QR codes from screenshots, scanning QR codes from documents without a phone, verifying QR content before publishing.

OCR — extract text from images

Powered by Tesseract.js, the OCR tool extracts text from images with support for 12 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese Simplified, Arabic, and Hindi. Four recognition modes are available: single text block, single line, multi-column, and table. Image preprocessing options (grayscale, enhanced contrast) improve accuracy on poor-quality images. Large images are automatically downscaled to optimise recognition speed. Results display a confidence score with per-word confidence breakdown. Extracted text can be copied or downloaded as TXT, PDF, or DOC.

Use cases: Digitising printed documents, extracting text from scanned forms, capturing text from photographs of whiteboards or signs.

Privacy-first architecture

Every tool in the Image Tools suite processes images entirely within your browser using the Canvas API, Web Workers, and WebAssembly. No image data is transmitted over the network, stored on external servers, or accessible by third parties. This architecture is particularly important for confidential documents, unreleased creative assets, and personal photos.

Shared upload workflow

The suite implements an "upload once, edit all" pattern. When you upload an image using the shared upload area at the top of the page, it becomes available across all applicable tools. Multi-image tools such as Collage Maker, Comparison, Contact Sheet, and Batch Center automatically pre-populate with the shared image, eliminating the need for repeated uploads. You can still add additional images or override the shared image within each tool as needed.

Live previews across all tools

Every editing tool includes a live canvas preview that updates in real time as you adjust settings. The Device Mockup, Social Resizer, Batch Resizer, Format Converter, Meme Generator, Screenshot Beautifier, and Rounded Corners tools all display processed output as you configure parameters, so you can see exactly what the final result will look like before exporting.
